Basketball coach Rob McClanagan, 43, was arrested by Boston police in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, on Friday. According to ESPN, the specialist was hiding from law enforcement agencies after a criminal case was opened against him for rape. The circumstances were not disclosed, but an accompanying statement from Boston police said: The Boston Police Department reminds citizens of the dangers of drugs such as Rohypnol, which are tasteless, colorless and odorless and can be slipped into the drinks of unsuspecting victims.


By now, McClanagan should have been transferred to the Boston Detention Facility.


On his website, McClanaghan describes himself as a basketball skills coach who has worked with top NBA players. He claims to have helped former MVPs: Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.


McClanaghan played for Syracuse University from 1998-2001.
