McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo was voted driver of the day at the Mexican Grand Prix.


The winner in this nomination is determined by the fans by voting on the official website of Formula 1 during the Grand Prix.


In Mexico City, Ricciardo was involved in an accident in which he knocked Yuki Tsunoda off the track - and was fined 10 seconds for this. However, then the McLaren driver managed to make a great breakthrough, made several overtakes and managed to win back the handicap to the finish line in order to keep seventh place.
