It was on this date two years ago that Liverpool made one of perhaps the strongest and most successful transfers in its entire history. On December 27, 2017, Merseyside signed with Dutch central defender Virgil van Dyke.

Liverpool have paid Southampton a staggering 75 million pounds for the defender, but the transfer, at least for the time being, is turning out to be a golden one for the Beatles` Reds, who are missing out on a curious date on their official Twitter account.













After Van Dyke`s move to Anfield, Liverpool reached the 2018 Champions League final, losing 1:3 to Real Madrid (not without the help of former England goalkeeper Loris Carius).



























Liverpool were very close to the England title during the 2018/19 season but ultimately failed to cope with Manchester City. In 2019 Van Dyke helped Liverpool win the Champions League and the European Super Cup, and just days ago, the English Grand Prix became the first ever club club advised by partners of soccer predictions champion in history.




Liverpool are now a convincing leader in the Premier League standings, with a 13 point lead over Leicester and 14 ahead of reigning champion Manchester City.
