Tottenham made the wrong move in the top 4 battle after making 1:1 with Southampton at St Mary`s. The `Worlds` took a deserved advance after Davis Sanchez`s own goal (15 `), but only three minutes later Harry Kane (18 `) equaled. By the end the two teams missed several good positions.

The big news about Spurs was the absence of Hugo Loris and Christian Eriksen who are sick. Instead, Michel Worm and Mousa Sisoko began.

Mario Lemina and Manolo Gabidini started the saints. Shane Long was out of the group while Stephen Davis was on the bench for the start.

`The Saints` started this fight well and led in the result mentioned by soccerwinpicks after 1/4 hour. Tadic found Bertrand on the left flank, the defender centered sharply on the ground, and Sanchez tried to cross the nearby beam, but sent the ball into his own door without leaving Worm the chance to intervene. Just three minutes later, Harry Kain equalized after relegation into the penalty area and knocked his head to a corner from Ben Davis`s corner. It was goal 99 for the Premier League striker and 29th of his goal since the start of the season.

In the 30th minute the Spurs missed a great opportunity to make the reversal complete. Kane had a good Orie centering, continued to Davis, who fired parallel to the goal. Sisko put his foot, but close the ball to the side of the far beam. Stevens also missed a good situation for Southampton when he found Ward-Praus`s head to head a free kick but could not find the goal. During the second half, the two teams clung to a fairly strong battle and the clean positions came only in the last few minutes. In the 84th after a great chaos and the penalty box and a series of remixes Lamela got a chance to shoot at two meters but failed to find the door. Then Southampton missed two great opportunities. First debut Obafei could have been dropped after being left alone in the penalty area but could not find the ball well and shot in inaccurately for seven or eight meters. A minute before the end, Buffalo did well but at the decisive moment Sanchez intervened and blocked his shot, which could be naked. In the 90th minute, Kane came out in firing position, but his shot flicked away from the far beam.

This was the 11th consecutive no-win match for Southampton in the Premier League. `The Saints` remain in the area of the falling with an asset of 22 points. Tottenham has 45 and if Liverpool wins tomorrow to Swansea, Spurs will be five points behind fourth.
